UTM Link Builder (Free)
Build a campaign URL with utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content. This free tool validates the base URL, encodes parameters, copies the final link, saves local presets, and turns pasted rows into a CSV. No signup and no server calls — everything runs in your browser.

Presets are stored in this browser only with local storage. They are not uploaded.

How to build UTM links that analytics can actually read
UTM parameters are query strings that tell analytics tools where a click came from. Keep the naming system simple and consistent. Use utm_source for the specific place, such as a newsletter name or social platform. Use utm_medium for the channel type, such as email, social, or cpc. Use utm_campaign for the promotion or launch. The optional utm_term and utm_content fields are useful for paid keywords and for telling two creative variants apart.
Paste the full landing page URL, fill the fields, and copy the result. The tool keeps existing query parameters, replaces any UTM parameter you provide, and encodes spaces and special characters. Test the final link in a private window before publishing. A good workflow is to save your standard values as a preset, duplicate it for each placement, and change only the source or content field. For many links, paste rows in the bulk box and download a CSV that contains both the original and final URLs.
Common mistakes: mixing uppercase and lowercase names, changing a campaign name halfway through, using the same source for unrelated placements, putting personal data such as an email address in a URL, and adding UTM parameters to internal links. Internal campaigns can overwrite the original attribution in some analytics setups, so check your platform's rules first. Also remember that this tool only builds links. It does not connect to analytics, verify campaign data, or shorten URLs. Reporting depends on the analytics product that receives the parameters.
The page is fully client-side. Nothing is sent to a server, and presets are optional local storage entries that you can delete at any time.
FAQ
Is this UTM link builder free?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser with no signup, account, API key, or payment. There is no usage limit.
What do the five UTM parameters mean?
utm_source names the platform or referrer, utm_medium names the channel type, and utm_campaign names the promotion. utm_term and utm_content are optional and commonly used for paid keywords and creative variants.
Does the tool send my URLs anywhere?
No. It makes no network requests. URLs and presets stay in your browser, and presets are stored in local storage only if you choose to save one.
Why is the final URL longer than what I typed?
Existing query parameters are preserved, UTM parameters are added or replaced, and spaces and special characters are encoded. The output is the exact URL you should publish.
How does bulk mode work?
Paste one row per line in the form url|source|medium|campaign, then generate the CSV. Valid rows are converted, invalid rows are skipped and listed with their line numbers, and the CSV includes both the original and final URL.
Are saved presets shared or synced?
No. Presets use local storage in this browser only. They are not uploaded or synced across devices, and clearing site data removes them.
